The only way I survived all the fees with 2 in childcare so I could work was to move to a term-time preschool which allowed me to use all of the available funded hours (the previous nursery didn’t allow this and meant extortionate fees every month). It meant re-jigging my working pattern completely, but it was so worth it for us and the preschool is amazing in every way possible. Laugh and Learn in Tarring High Street - all members of staff are highly qualified and have been there years, rather than having poor staff retention which can result in multiple keyworker changes that we experienced elsewhere. Also management at the preschool are fantastic and on-site every day, and know everything about your child, as opposed to sporadic management visits at the previous one. My children have thrived there, and we actually don’t ever want to leave 😆. Every member of staff goes above and beyond for all the children. They change the learning themes every week. They have sunflower competitions, duckling visits, weekly yoga, pet-visits, their own library system to borrow books, amazing Xmas parties and Xmas performances, baking sessions, trips to the local nursing home to play games and have a biscuit which they love, but above all the preschool really genuinely care and are so passionate about giving the kids the best experience ♥️ They’re extending their opening hours to 4.30pm from September too 👍

There are just no words to describe this truly wonderful group of people and preschool. I'm so pleased we opted to start my littlen when he turned 2 so he had 2 years here (as a summer baby he would have only had 1 year funded) From day dot his keyworker Karen established such a lovely bond and all the staff cared for him with such love and patience for the duration. He's a fiesty one and has certainly had his struggles with emotional development and throughout we have worked together and communicated to support him (and me!) he has come such a long way with his friendships, learning and behaviour because of time and effort this preschool have put in. You will not find a more supportive, caring, well organised and diligent manager than Sharon with the help from her team. They have made our experience a streamline, non- judgmental and very happy one. Thank you all so so much for being such and important part of our journey... You will be missed xx

I could not recommend laugh and learn more. Our son had the most amazing 2 years there. When he first started, he had separation anxiety however it was not long before he started skipping into playgroup every morning excited to see all the lovely staff and his friends. The staff at laugh and learn create a fun, and exciting environment that allows the children to thrive. For us they noticed our sons area of difficulty which resulted in him having hearing aids. The staff noticing and referring him has honestly changed his and our lives forever. He is now able to hear sounds he would have never heard before, and we will always be so thankful to laugh and learn for that. Thank you so much!

I highly recommend Laugh and Learn. Me and my siblings went there and now my eldest has been there for 2 years and I’m so excited to send my younger 2 there. What an incredible preschool. I am just sad that my daughter has only been here a year and we weren’t / haven’t been able to make the most of it for longer! The ladies here are amazing and what they do with the children activities wise is amazing. They are always looking to invest and better the facilities for the children and it is so lovely to have a preschool with established staff and limited turnover. Highly recommend!!!! Go and visit, you will not be disappointed.

I don't even know where to start! All three of my children have been through L & L and the staff now feel like part of my extended family! They have cared for my children with such love, humour and patience and provided them each a safe place to learn and grow. All three of them have had the BEST adventures at L & L and I will be so so sad to close this chapter, when my youngest starts school in September. I stumbled across Laugh and Learn four years ago when I moved to worthing with a two old and pregnant with number two and I consider myself incredibly lucky to have done so. Both my children have now graduated and it’s been an amazing four years. Whilst my eldest was there the ladies were incredibly helpful and understanding with my perpetual disorganization and occasional emotional outbursts as I struggled with a newborn and then they were equally helpful and understanding with my tricky second child (and more emotional outbursts from me!). Both my kids have headed off to big school happy little souls. They always came out of Laugh and Learn happy, teaching me new songs (“upsie downie town” being my favorite), handing me amazing crafts or explaining the philosophy of “gentle hands”. Both of them made good friends there and I was always utterly confident that Sharon and her amazing team could handle anything those crazy toddlers threw their way. Thank-you Laugh and Learn. Xxx

My little boy was just 2 when he started at laugh and learn and hadn't experienced being away from both parents before. From the initial look around the nursery to his first few days we knew he would be fine here. He started off really nervous and every day we would get a message saying how his day was which was great for us as parents. over the 3 years at laugh and learn we watched him grow in confidence and become the character he is today and laugh and learn reflect this amazingly through his journal, which will be a memory to keep. I cannot thank the ladies enough especially Donna on those days he hung on to me and you just kept reassuring him and me, up until the days I never got a goodbye because he made so many friends. Thank you stacey for being an amazing key worker and Sharon and jess for keeping us up to date with everything especially through covid. You have helped the transition into tab infant which I hope he loves as much as he did laugh and learn.

Laugh and Learn will always hold a place dear to us as a family. My son attended back in the day when Laugh and Learn at Heene was around and he thrived during his time there. He is now going into year 4. When the time came for choosing a preschool for my daughter it was a no brainier for me as to where she would attend. From the moment her time at Laugh and Learn began you could see how excited she was, she ran into the preschool everyday and before I knew it I barely got a goodbye! She soon became so popular among the other children and has formed some friendships that I hope remain strong in the future. The staff team are phenomenal. Sharon and Jackie I have known since my son started almost 7 years ago now and the staff that work along side them to the present day are all an absolute credit to the preschool setting. My daughter has thrived so much she is independent, confident, super willing to learn and also a complete sass pot who knows exactly what she wants and I know that is hugely down to the ladies at laugh and learn. I honestly couldn’t recommend a better setting for children to attend. The activities that take place, the approach to learning- it’s all amazing. Whilst my daughter attended laugh and learn I gave birth to my second son and there is no doubt in my mind where he will attend when the time comes. Thankyou all so so much for the positive impact you have had on both of my children during their time with you and I know they will continue to thrive. Also a special Thankyou to Chloe for being such a fab keyworker and to Jess for such excellent communication with myself. We will miss you all.

I highly recommend Laugh and Learn Pre-School in Tarring. I have twin boys who have both really enjoyed their two years there. All of the staff are very nurturing, caring, experienced and approachable. They work as a good team to create a fun and engaging learning environment for all children. Parents are kept updated weekly about the range of activities that the children have been enjoying. A weekly summary is sent with photos and information. Josh and Jake have flourished at Laugh and Learn. They have made so many friends and often talk about their friends and lots of the staff at home. Coming from an Early Years teaching background myself I have been happy with how the development matters curriculum has been delivered in an age appropriate and fun way. Lots of messy play, singing, role play, mark making, physical activities, creative activities, exploration of animals and the environment, cooking, reading, number work, phonics activities, shape, space and measure activities and group games. The list is endless. The staff managed so well continuing to operate during the pandemic. Well done to Sharon and her team for remaining professional and organised during an uncertain time for everyone. Parents were kept informed regularly in line with government guidelines, policies were shared and parents were asked for feedback. A big thank you to all of the ladies at laugh and learn. Thank you for looking after Josh and Jake so well, for teaching them so much and for providing a happy and memorable Pre-School experience for them. They are more than ready for School. We will miss you.

All the ladies have such a good balance of support, encouragement, fun and cuddles when needed that your children will thrive. Billy boy is leaving there with the best group of friends and such excitement for TAB infants that the transition will be easy for him…just not for me!! I’m so grateful for all you have done for him. My daughter has really enjoyed coming to Laugh and Learn pre school over the last two years. She was quite shy when she started as a little two-year-old but has grown into an independent and much more confident nearly four year old who is ready to move on to big school. Sharon and all the other ladies at Laugh and Learn really are lovely and we will miss them all. My daughter has especially enjoyed playing in the garden, the trips to the nursing homes, beach school (for the older children) and all the other great activities that are available to do at pre-school each day. She has learnt so many new things over the last two years, made some lovely friends and had lots of fun along the way too.

My daughter has had the best 2 years at Laugh and Learn. It is just such a lovely pre school. The ladies are all amazing and do so much for all the children. My daughter has learned so much coming here, grown in confidence and ran in happy every day. she made some wonderful friends and loved her teachers too. They have a great outside area, loads of space, even on rainy days make the most of what they have. They have also done so much to prepare the children for school, dressing themselves in their PE kits, school uniform role play etc... I'm gutted our journey at Laugh and Learn has come to an end, we will miss you all but will recommend massively to anyone xxx

My daughter had a wonderful experience at the pre-school! The staff have been brilliant, and they have all been there a long time so are very experienced and have seen a lot of children progress through to school which I feel is an important factor to consider when choosing a pre school. The school makes great use of the outside space they have and provide brilliant learning activities that change with seasons/events of the month for example easter, xmas etc. The key workers get to know your child very well and are understanding with any issues you have. The school is kept outstandingly clean and tidy I cannot fault the little set up they have and feel as they are set in the heart of the village, they have a real community spirit about them. my daughter will really miss them all, she has discovered so much. I wish laugh and learn all the best in the future and would like to thank all the ladies that have made my daughter so happy every day. Thank you x

My daughter has been at Laugh and Learn for two years. She skips into nursery every day, and on our walk home she tells me about all of the fantastic things she has done. The teachers are all so caring, and they are constantly thinking up new activities to challenge and entertain the children. I wanted to write to express how extremely pleased we were with the care and support our son Freddy received during his year at the Laugh and Learn Pre School in Tarring High Street, Worthing. The care and support that Freddy and our family received was first class. Right from the start, Freddy was fully supported and nurtured whilst being made to feel completely safe and secure. All the staff here go above and beyond to make sure the children are enjoying their time and learning in a safe and stimulating environment. Through the close observation and quality time the staff spent with Freddy, they were able to highlight the indicators of some potential issues in Freddys development. When this was highlighted to us by the staff at Laugh and Learn it was done extremely sensitively and positively. At all times Freddy and ourselves were put at the centre of everything the nursery did. Through the process of Freddy’s assessments and eventual diagnosis of ‘Autistic Spectrum Disorder’ the hard work and support provided by all the staff at Laugh and Learn was beyond anything we could have expected. Laugh and learn produced lots of high quality observational reports, detailed supporting documentation and arranged and chased up appointments for specialists to come to the pre-school to see Freddy in the environment he was most comfortable. Throughout all this, Laugh and Learn liaised with us constantly and we were always consulted and asked for our opinions and thoughts at every stage. They couldn’t have been any more supportive to us as parents. ​In a wider context, all this shows the outstanding level of managerial provision and organisation that was completely evident at all times. The quality of the support and care that Freddy received throughout his time at Laugh and Learn has been absolutely outstanding. Freddy was nurtured and encouraged and at all times his care was totally suited to his needs and current progress. All staff were completely up to date on Freddy’s needs and current development making the care seamless. We feel Freddy had all the support he needed to reach his full potential at this stage. ​The level of care and attention involved in Freddys transition to big school was just amazing. They helped us arrange extra meetings with the school and showed such care at making sure everyone at school was aware of Freddys needs. They never showed any break from concern in his welfare right up to the day that he left. I really do feel they helped Freddy grow in strength and maturity ready to cope with this next stage of life. ​In short, the wonderful and professional organisation and provision at Laugh and Learn has had a huge positive impact on Freddy and the excellent progress he was able to make both academically and socially has changed his life for the better. Freddy will feel a great benefit from his year at Laugh and Learn throughout his school life by having had the best possible start to his learning career. I cannot sing their praises enough and would whole heartily recommend them to any prospective parents.

My daughter had absolutely loved her time at Laugh and Learn. She had grown in confidence and as a person thanks to all of the ladies at Laugh and Learn. She has been looked after so well I couldn't have asked for better care. I have been able to leave her there every day knowing she is in safe hands and been kept safe and given a hug if she needs it. I wanted to wait until my daughter was finishing at Laugh & Learn to give a full review. ​My daughter started at the play school at the age of two years old. We left our shy, reserved and nervous daughter at the school on her first day crying and not wanting to join in. ​Fast forward to now and she is about to leave for primary school and WOW....she has transformed into a confident, sociable and intelligent young lady with many friends. I can't thank the staff enough for this transformation. The care, thought and dedication that goes into moulding the young minds at Laugh and Learn are incredible. It is all the small things that make this school great. Even now in the late stages, as the children are preparing to leave for primary school. Instead of the staff winding down and thinking that their job is done, they are busy prepping them with practice PE kit changes, homework that is being sent home and dressing up/role-play in their new uniforms. 100% effort right until the day they leave. There truly is masses of thought that goes into each aspect of learning. The learning journal that the parents can take home just proves how much individual attention each child receives with in-depth reporting on the children from social skills to numeracy. It is always funny reading the comments your child has made to certain situations which get noted in the journal. It is sad my daughter is leaving such a wonderful environment, but we couldn't have picked a better place for her. Please let this review calm your nerves when you are choosing your young child's school as I only know to well how big a decision it is. Laugh and Learn will work on both the strengths and weaknesses of each individual that comes through its doors and mould them into a well-rounded character ready for the next step in their education. I can't thank you enough, all the staff at Laugh and Learn. Keep doing things exactly the way you are as it's truly working!

I cannot recommend laugh and learn highly enough. As soon as I walked through the gates the day I was shown around I knew this was the right place for my daughter. Sharon and Allison and all the staff are outstanding in the care and nurturing of our children and also a great support to the parents. I found laugh and learn incredibly professional at all times and I was so impressed at the dedication you all showed towards making it the most amazing experience for my daughter to learn and grow, she loved every minute.
