Session Times and Fees

Laugh and Learn Pre-School Tarring – Session Times:

• Early Bird Session Monday to Friday 8.30 until 9am
• Monday to Friday 9am until 12
• Monday to Friday 9am until 2.30pm
• New extended PM session 2.30pm-4.30pm available from September 2025
  

We recommend that chiildren attend for a minimum of two morning sessions per week and can attend from the term after their 2nd birthday. 

On receipt of an application form the preschools bank details will be supplied to enable payment of the £35 registration fee which will be returned by way of a credit against future invoices once your child starts preschool. We will then confirm your place and will include a detailed timetable of your child`s sessions each term until they leave Pre-school.

Is your believe your child eligible for the Early Learning Funding for 2 year olds (LA issued EYFE) , you will need to be in receipt of certain benefits or have a low income, please contact West Sussex County Council on 01243 777807 or apply online through the West Sussex County Councils website.

When your child is eligible for either of the 2 Year Funded Entitlements(LA funded or for working parents) or either of the 3-year Funded Entitlements (universal 15 hours a week or extended up to 30 hours a week) we will provide you with a parent declaration form to complete to enable us to claim the funding and will automatically assign your child once they qualify for the 3 Year funding with 15 hours unless you state otherwise. If you believe you will qualify for the 2 year Funded Entitiment for working parents or the 3 year Extended Funded Entitlement for working parents, you will need to apply for this element of the funding yourselves the term before you intend to use it through the Government website: 'Best start in life' and supply us with the eligibility code to enable us to claim the funding.

All hours attended can be paid for with funded hours, any hours over and above funded hours are charged at the hourly rate of £7.00-£7.70 (from April 2026) depending on age of child. Fees are reviewed annually.

The funded Entitlement is not intended to cover the cost of food for snacks, activities, trip, classes and other consumables, Parents can therefore expect to pay for any food offered by us and to pay for other consumables or additional activities with our voluntary consumables charge. Our current charges are:

Snacks-50p per day Consumables-£1 per morning session or £2 per a 2.30pm finish and 50p per day for activities, classes, trips and enhanced learning experiences.

If parents choose to opt out of paying our voluntary consumables charge we will supply them with a list of which consumables they will need to supply themselves such as snack (in line with our healthy eating policy), wipes, sun protection etc for your child to use each day and which activities and trip they may not be able to participate in whilst still receiving free access to continuous provision and experiences.  More information can be found in our fees policy.
