Whilst we do not have digital devices here at Preschool for the children to use, we have been talking to the children about how to keep themselves safe online with screentime now being such a big part of their lives.
Using our pretend device, we discussed with the children the importance of asking an adult to use a device, telling an adult if you see or hear something that makes you sad or worried and how it’s important to share games and videos with you parents and families so they can see what you are playing.
Have a look at this top tips sheet for parents to help you to keep your children safe when using digital devices at home such as viewing kids youtube only not the standard youtube as this can present challenges for everyone. |
